Parlaying a background in rock & roll set design
into a career in themed exhibits and attractions, Dennis Larkins
has established a significant body of work over the course of his
two decades in the themed entertainment industry.
Dennis was able to apply his theatrical experience
to a job in the Disneyland Parade Float Shop, where all those nifty
floats you see making their way down Main St. three to five times
a day are constructed. Not long after landing that job, Dennis moved
up to a design job as a Walt Disney Imagineer, working in the creative
think tank established by Walt himself to facilitate the creation
of a themed empire. He later went on to work for a diverse spectrum
of theming outfits, both on a freelance and in-house basis, from
high-tech special effects house SpectraF/X to entertainment conglomerate
MCA/Universal to helping launch Warner Bros. Studio Stores as a
theme designer to acting as creative producer for Sega GameWorks.
